Business Development Manager

On behalf of our client, an international property development and investment company, we are looking for an experienced BDM to identify, analyse, validate and pursue new investment and business development opportunities, in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives and to ensure optimal expansion and profitability; and to manage and/or oversee implementation of corporate projects.

You will either independently perform, or support the management team with the following:

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Monitor and analyse market conditions and trends locally, regionally and at a global level in order to identify business development opportunities.

Develop short term and long term investment plans to ensure business growth and delivery of the strategy and development program of the company.

Identify and propose new business development and growth opportunities such as co-development, profit sharing and joint ventures in operations and strategic initiatives.

Monitor and interpret real estate development and tourism industry trends including the evaluation of market size, structure and competitive landscape, and make recommendations to the Head of Strategic Planning and the CEO.

Liaise with government and business contacts and develop relationships with key stakeholders in order to gather information relevant to company’s goals and identify and cultivate new business opportunities.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES EVALUATION AND EXECUTION

Propose deal structures and develop feasibility studies and cost/benefit analysis for company’s business development activities.

Conduct the due diligence process – in house and through third parties - to determine the viability of the investment opportunity and ensure the CEO and the Board have full information upon which to make a decision. 

Facilitate and participate in the negotiations for any prospective opportunity to reach the best terms and conditions.

Monitor local legislation and advise management of any relevant changes in business and legal conditions that will impact business development initiatives and opportunities.

CORPORATE PMO

Develop standards, processes and procedures to ensure implementation of the company’s strategic plans.

Translate the corporate strategy into business plans and cascade the business plan into departmental objectives.

Implement and manage the departmental Performance Management System and processes.

Monitor and analyse department KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) and targets to be met. Report progress to the company’s executive management and the relevant departments and update the Performance Management System with new KPIs.

Develop and implement principles and measures for the performance management of all corporate projects and promote the highest level of performance in terms of cost, quality and time and to measure project success.

Develop, implement and monitor the CSR strategy and ensure it is aligned with the company’s vision and business strategies.

In order to succeed, you fulfill the following criteria:

MBA (preferable) or undergraduate degree in business administration or an industry related field of study.

Up to 2 years of relevant experience, preferably within an emerging market context.

Business development experience in the real estate and/or tourism industry.

Experience in business development and strategic business plan execution.

Strong analytical skills and ability to develop thorough feasibility and cost/benefit studies.

Ability to operate in an emerging market growth environment.

Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication & presentation skills.

Excellent command of MS Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint and in particular, Excel.

Command of languages of Western and Eastern Europe an advantage.
