Design Manager

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced Design Manager to manage the design of one of major projects through the preliminary design, detailed design and construction phases.

You will be expected to:

Work on a major project driven by an international developer;

Take on a full responsibility for the whole project cycle, from preliminary design through construction phase;

Liaise with the client, master planners and main architects from the UK, contractors and other international and local consultants;

Coordinate resources within the company, assign work to the team members;

Ensure delivery to the milestones and deadlines and to the expected quality and budget;

Attend and hold regular design meetings, prepare regular progress reports;

Monitor work on site for quality and progress and make sure the projects are delivered in time, to the correct quality and to required health and safety requirements;

Liaise with public authorities to ensure compliance with local requirements.

In order to succeed, you fulfill the following criteria:

Degree in civil engineering, architecture or building management;

Prior working experience in design or project management, ideally on a large scale project in an international environment;

Experience in the complete project life cycle;

Strong combination of a business/office based project management with work in terrain and management of site works;

Track record of a successful delivery of mixed use projects;

Independent and initiative, able to drive projects forward and meet deadlines;

Knowledge of Montenegrin building and permitting regulations;

Strong leader with ability to act as a strong example, motivate and lead others to their best performance;

Excellent communicator in both English and Montenegrin languages;

Computer literate, use of MS Office package, internet applications;
